Another couple of days catching with Run-N-Gun

Wednesday, Michael, Jason, Craig and Keith waded East Matty with me. The conditions weren’t the greatest with the wind still blowing and the water clarity still pretty dirty. We bounced around to a few spots and ended the day around lunch with 29 trout and a red. It was my first time back in East Matty in a week or so and the fish hadn’t moved far from where I’d left them.

Thursday, Todd, Tim and Keith joined me to fish East Matty for a ½ day. The winds had picked up a little and really messed the bay up. He hit some of the same spots I had fished the day before to only box 12 trout. Even though the numbers were down, the size was definitely up. I released a trout a little over 8lbs, and we had another go 27 ½ and Todd ended the day with a bang by landing a 25 incher at the last spot we stopped.

Friday I pre-fished my girls for the LOTB tourney. We hit the water a little after 8am and made a few short wades to just get them used to the bite. The girls did good and boxed a handful of trout and reds that gave me confidence for Saturdays tourney. On Saturday it just wasn’t our day in the tourney. We caught fish, but not the fish we needed. To say the least, I was VERY PROUD of my girls and they fished SUPER hard! I would definitely fish with them any day of the week.
