At Run-n-Gun Adventures we have access to over 5,000 thousand acres of rice fields, plowed fields, rye grass fields, managed duck ponds and marsh hunting. All hunts take place on private property leased or owned only by us in Matagorda County. Waterfowl season typically runs early November through January and provides consistent shooting all season.

Duck hunts will take place on flooded rice fields, flooded fallow fields, or managed wetland projects. We can accommodate up to parties of 5 with a three party maximum. By limiting the amount of hunters it enables us to consistently bag more birds. Typical bags will include teal, gadwall, widgeon, shoveler, pintail, and mallard. Diver shoots are available upon request. In addition, public bay hunting is available for clients interested in coastal species.

Goose hunts will take place in rice, planted rye grass, or plowed fields. A typical hunt will include a large rag spread of up to 1500 rags. It is not uncommon to have hundreds of snow geese hovering ten feet above the decoys. Since goose hunting is very dependent on the weather, we will only take hunters in favorable conditions. It is our philosophy to ensure quality hunting and insist on customer satisfaction.

All hunts include guide, dog, decoys, and transportation to and from the hunting areas. Client dogs are always welcome.

Prices:

Duck Hunts: $125 per person
Goose Hunts: 150 per person
Executive Goose Hunt: $175 per person (clients will not have to assist guide in setting decoys)

DEPOSIT: 1/2 when booked, the rest when you arrive.
